Project Description

The candidate will be the part of Metadata engineering group. we have a good volume of data which is ingested into our data pipeline through the various mechanisms and finally data sit into the content warehouse. A lot of services are running to process data/ and running BOB rules to enrich the data. And finally, data got served to customer based on customer agreement. We are using RabbitMQ as a messaging system in this pipeline and multiples tech stack used for building various component.

Metadata Customers are worldwide, and they are spread across LTAM, EU, and NA regions.

Entire Metadata engineering is based out of Bangalore with few architects and complete business owners working out of the US office

The production support team are based out in the US and Bangalore and covering 24/7 support
Job Purpose

The candidate will be the senior member of the Metadata Production Support team, and will closely be monitoring the production environment and share their valuable thoughts/ and suggestions to improve quality which will help us to reduce P1s/customer escalations thereby help in increasing customer satisfaction.

Here’s what you get to do:

The candidate will be part of the Production Support Team and will be taking part in the On-Call support activity on a rotational basis. On-Call will start at morning 7 AM IST to Evening 7 PM IST. They will be paid extra allowance whenever they are part of the On-Call support. The candidate would be responsible for weekend support on a rotational basis. For weekends and public holidays, support Candidates will get comp off plus allowance.

Being a Staff engineer, the candidate will be looked upon for technical guidance once they become familiar with the domain. The candidate is expected to ramp up on the Domain and various components in which they will be working.

The candidate is expected to follow the process and ensure compliance with the process by the entire Production support team. The candidate is expected to provide status updates to all key stakeholders and management on key customer issues daily and sometimes on an hourly basis and ensure P1s are resolved with the SLAs

The candidate is expected to follow agile, more of Kanban dashboard, and ensure all customer issues are progressing daily with the latest updates on the progress of each of the issues.

The candidate will be looked upon as the single point of contact for the Bangalore team and would be representing the team in daily calls related to Customer escalations and other issues that needs attention.

The candidate is expected to work closely with US counterparts daily

Who we are looking for?

We are looking a Candidates who are BEs/MCAs from reputed universities who has 8-12 years in Production Support teams from Product companies and who has attitude and willingness

to resolve customer issues beyond the call of duty as and when needed

The candidate should have basic and intermediate skills of SQL and C Sharp/.NET skills. SSIS skills will be nice to have

Overview of the recruitment process
